National Assisted Living Week kicks off the start of fall, celebrating our dedicated staff members and the amazing folks who call Meadows their home. This year’s theme was “Joyful Moments” and there were plenty of those all throughout the month. We welcomed some very special visitors including Bishop Donald Hying and Father Garrett Kau from St. John the Evangelist in Spring Green. Haven Petting Farm in Blue Mounds brought an array of animals and there were so many smiles by young and old alike! There were also lots of smiles when the Vesperman Farms ice cream truck stopped by from Lancaster with yummy ice cream for all! Folks shared joyful moments from the past, fostering wonderful memories and conversations. They also took a trip to the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo and went for a pontoon boat ride on Lake Wisconsin, and the month wrapped up participating in the River Valley Homecoming Parade!
