January can have some dreary weather, but there were lots of engaging activities that made for busy and joyful days. Volunteers Ralph and Barb brought their beautiful European nutcracker collection as well as an heirloom painting for all to admire. Their visits are always uplifting and encouraging to all! We have a new four-legged friend, Sweet Luna, and her person, Sue, who will be coming on a regular basis this year, and Luna has already brought lots of love and smiles! Volunteer Hakim performed some lovely classical piano music and led a sing-a-long and folks took a trip to The Ridge Bar and Grill in Ridgeway for a delicious lunch. The month ended with a fascinating visit from Tom Kessenich and his Snakes Alive program. Anyone who wanted could get an up-close view of a Snapping Turtle, an African Boa and a Wisconsin Bull Snake.
