The month seemed to go by quickly – probably because there was so much going on! Folks enjoyed some Easter fun by dyeing speckled eggs using peas, popcorn, pinto beans, lentils and more to create speckles and splatters. Some of the ladies also put together beautiful holiday centerpieces with spring flowers purchased from Prairie Flowers & Gifts. Volunteer Appreciation Week was also in April so staff members put on a lovely lunch for all of the creative, dedicated volunteers and family members who share their time and talents with us. Some of the men watched archery videos and then practiced their own sharpshooting skills using a NERF gun and staff member Lisa as the target! She was a great sport and there were lots of laughs! We were also pleased to welcome Kali from Miracles on Hoof in Spring Green, who visited with her precious children and a miniature “unicorn”, and two staff from the Wisconsin History Museum who gave a presentation on the history of toys.
