Spring officially arrived and to commemorate May Day, folks wound a May Pole! A good group of residents and volunteers worked on it as Celtic dance reels played in the background. We were pleased to welcome friends from sister residence CrestRidge in Dodgeville for a performance of Jan Berry and her Country Classic Trio, and a wonderful community friend, John, son of long-time volunteers Deb and Clif, hosted several residents, staff members and volunteers at the Wisconsin Riverside Resort. Two staff from the International Crane Foundation presented and folks enjoyed a great trip to the Arboretum in Madison. There were art projects to make and flowers to plant, and the month ended with staff putting on a fabulous Memorial Day picnic, a perfect opportunity to reminisce and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedoms.
