National Assisted Living Week this year was September 13th – 19th. Residents celebrated with a variety of fun activities including making artwork for the International Day of Peace (Sept. 21), getting delicious ice cream delivered by the Vesperman Farms Ice Cream Truck from Lancaster, tie dyeing cloth face masks, and outdoor visits from Pastor Kendall and Father John. Staff was also recognized with gifts and prize drawings and enjoyed a special lunch together outside. The week was topped off with entertainment by Nath Dresser in the courtyard and a wonderful Quilts of Valor presentation by Pat Shaw of the VFW, where four resident veterans were presented with handmade quilts in honor of their service. Wow – what a full week it was! Heartfelt thanks to our amazing staff for coordinating all these fun activities; we appreciate you all! To view photos, please click on the web album.
