Seniors celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Day with accordion music and dancing.

April started off with folks viewing the solar eclipse with their special safety glasses. They all thought it was amazing! Our green-thumbed ladies worked on transplanting coleus and geraniums to the outdoor pots, and a favorite pastime was watching the Decorah, Iowa bald eagles on the Eagle Cam on the Smart TV. There were great performances by entertainers and a rousing game of balloon tennis with Administrative Assistant Kyrie’s daughter Ophelia. Kyrie was also recognized on Administrative Assistant’s Day – what would we do without her? A big thank you to John, son of volunteer Deb, for taking a group of residents and volunteers to lunch at Wisconsin Riverside Resort. What a fun outing! A resident choir serenaded their neighbor as she celebrated her 100th birthday and our dedicated volunteers were honored with a special lunch, accordion music and dancing for Volunteer Appreciation Month.
