Is Meadows Assisted Living and Memory Care a nursing home? No. It is a state-licensed Class C Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF). We have licensed nurses on staff that can provide up to three hours of skilled nursing care per resident per week in our home-like setting. Seniors living at Meadows are residents in their own home. Our job is to help them stay as healthy as possible in body, mind and spirit.
How is Meadows different from other assisted living residences?- Residents receive healthcare of the highest quality delivered by our experienced licensed nurses and care staff. Many facilities only have nurses available on call. Our nurses are in the building every day and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Does Meadows offer short-term care?Yes – we call it Respite Care, and it’s designed for seniors who need assisted living services just for a short time. Respite Care can be of great benefit while you or a loved one recover from an illness or injury. It can provide a caregiver a deserved break. But it can also be a way for you or a loved one to test the water of assisted living without having to commit to living there permanently. The person can meet staff and other residents, try out the meals and activities and get a good idea of what assisted living is really like.

Is there funding assistance available at Meadows? The cost of long term care can seem daunting. For information about public funds and services that may be available to you and your family, we encourage you to contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) in your area. These centers provide information on all aspects of life related to aging or living with a disability. Toll Free for any ADRC: 877-794-2372. Other options you can explore to ease the financial commitment of assisted living include long term care insurance, federal benefits provided through the Department of Veteran Affairs or the sale of an in-force life insurance policy.
